Cookie policy
This information, pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, is provided in accordance with the provisions of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and subsequent amendments of the Italian Republic, the Provision of the Data Protection Authority no. 229 of 8 May 2014, and Directive 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.
What are Cookies?
Cookies are data created by a server and stored in text files on your computer's hard drive. They enable this website to function, enable the use of a specific feature explicitly requested by the user, or improve the site's functionality. Cookies can be permanent (so-called persistent cookies) or have a limited duration (so-called session cookies). This site uses both persistent and session cookies. Session cookies are not stored permanently on your computer and disappear when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies are used to customize navigation based on the device used by the user (computer, tablet, smartphone), as are third-party cookies used to analyze site traffic (e.g., Google Analytics) and allow users to share site content via social networks or email. These cookies can be stored permanently on your computer and have a variable duration.
Types of Cookies
Italian legislation (Article 122 of Legislative Decree 196/03, "Personal Data Protection Code," hereinafter referred to as the "Code") has introduced EU Directive 2009/136/EC into our legal system. This requires website operators who use cookies or other tracking technologies to inform users of the types of cookies used by the site.
The Provision of the Italian Data Protection Authority no. 229 of 8 May 2014, published in the Official Journal no. 126 of 3 June 2014, categorized cookies into two main categories: "technical" cookies and "profiling" cookies.
- Technical Cookies , normally installed by the website owner or operator, are intended to "carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service" (see art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Privacy Code). The installation of Technical Cookies does not require the prior consent of users.
Technical cookies are further divided into:
- Browsing or session cookies , which ensure normal navigation and use of the website, allowing, for example, purchases or authentication to access restricted areas. These cookies are not stored permanently on the user's device and are automatically deactivated when the browser is closed. Their use is related to the transmission of identifying data necessary to enable safe and efficient navigation on the website. Session cookies do not in any way allow the acquisition of personal data that could identify the user.
- Analytics cookies are used to anonymously collect information on site usage and to obtain both a statistical analysis of page views and user behavior. This anonymous analysis provides information and suggestions for improving site quality and making the most popular and interesting content easily accessible to users. Analytics cookies can be sent both from the site and from third-party domains and do not in any way allow the collection of personal data that could identify the user. Analytics cookies, if installed by third parties (e.g., Google Analytics), even if they collect data anonymously, are considered profiling cookies, as specified by the Italian Data Protection Authority.
- Functionality cookies : similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site. These cookies allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, language) in order to improve the service provided.
- Profiling cookies are used to create user profiles and send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the internet. These cookies are particularly invasive of the user's privacy, which is why European and Italian legislation requires that the user be adequately informed about their use, allowing them to express their consent. Article 122 of the Privacy Code refers to them, stating that "the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contractor or user, or access to information already stored, is permitted only if the contractor or user has given his or her consent after
having been informed using the simplified procedures referred to in Article 13 of the Privacy Code, paragraph 3" (Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).
In the same Provision, the Guarantor also categorized cookies based on the entity acting as data controller of the personal data collected by the cookie, distinguishing between "first-party" cookies and "third-party" cookies.
First-party cookies
These are cookies managed by the website owner. For these cookies, the website owner is responsible for providing information. The website owner is also responsible for indicating how to block the cookie.
Third-party cookies
These are cookies managed by a third party other than the website owner. For these cookies, the third party is responsible for providing information and instructions on how to block the cookie, while the website owner is required to include a link to the third-party website where these elements are available.
For both types of cookies (first-party or third-party), consent is collected, which is required if the cookie is a profiling cookie, via a specific banner on the site's home page.
Types of cookies used on our website
The website https://www.lafilledesfleurs.it uses technical cookies, which can be used without the consent of the Data Subject, as they are strictly necessary for the provision of the service. Furthermore, third-party profiling cookies may be used , the use of which is subject to the consent provided directly to such third parties by accessing their cookie policies. Profiling cookies may be used by the Data Controller or the owner of the cookie itself to remember the choices made by the Data Subject, to provide personalized or optimized features, or to remember the habits and preferences expressed during browsing. For example, profiling cookies may be used to offer the Data Subject online services, to send them advertising tailored to their interests, or to prevent them from being offered services they have previously declined.
The next section of this Cookie Policy contains a detailed list of all the cookies used by this website.
The first group lists so-called technical cookies, whose use does not require the user's consent. The second group lists profiling cookies.
